Kerri Scharlin is a painter and conceptual artist based in New York. Since the 1990s, her work has explored the gap between how we're seen and who we are — beginning with a series of projects that handed her self-portrait to police sketch artists, magazine writers, and other professional observers. Her paintings, drawings, and sculptures have been exhibited at Postmasters, David Zwirner, the New Museum, and the Aldrich Museum, with residencies including Yaddo, MASS MoCA, and Civitella Ranieri.
